The calculator multiplies the property price by the percentage you enter. For example, 10% of €350,000 is €35,000.
Is the deposit the only cash I need?
No. Stamp duty, legal work, registration, survey, valuation and moving costs can sit outside the deposit. Use the full budget calculator to keep those items separate.
Does a larger deposit always help?
It reduces the balance you would need to borrow in the illustration. Whether it changes a real rate, approval or terms depends on a lender's criteria and your circumstances.
Can I use a percentage above 100?
No. A deposit cannot be more than the property price in this calculator. Enter a realistic amount and keep separate costs in the budget tool.
What should I do with the result?
Use it as a savings scenario, then verify the required deposit and any conditions directly with a lender, broker or other appropriate professional.
